380 GSM, choosing weight
At the weigh-in, the gi counts towards your total. If you sit right on the edge of your division, a few hundred grams of cloth decide whether you compete. That is the first reason to own a 380.
The second is comfort. In summer, or in a gym without air conditioning, a 380 is bearable across a run of rounds and dries between sessions.
The trade-off is grip. Thinner cloth gives your partner more to hold. Your grips set faster, and so do theirs. This is a competitor’s gi, not a forgiving one.
Ripstop pants
Ripstop is a weave reinforced by a grid, visible to the eye in the photo. When a fibre gives way, the tear stops at the next square instead of running down the leg. On gi pants, that is the difference between a snag and a write-off.
It is also lighter and dries faster than canvas, which fits what this model is for.
Why long cuts
IBJJF rules require the sleeve to end within 5 cm of the wrist with the arm extended, and the pants to reach within 5 cm of the ankle bone. A tall grappler often ends up in a gi that is the right width but too short in the sleeve, and gets turned away at the uniform check.
If you are taller than average for your weight, take the long cut rather than the next size up: you keep the right width across the shoulders.
Black, day to day
Black hides the mat marks that a white gi shows for months. The dye, on the other hand, does not like full sun: dry it in the shade if you want it to stay black past one season.
Size and care
The size finder further down works from your height and your weight. Wash at 30 °C inside out, air dry in the shade, never in a tumble dryer.
Who this gi is for
If you compete and you cut weight, the 380 is the obvious pick: it is the lightest weave we make, and the gi goes on the scale with you.
If you train in a hot gym, or more than three times a week, it dries fast enough to go back in the bag the next day.
If you are new to jiu-jitsu and want one gi that does everything, look at a 450 instead. A lighter weave gives your partner more to grip: a fair trade for a competitor, an unnecessary handicap for a beginner.
The design
The back carries katakana reading kurōzu, a red CROWZERO tab and a crow in flight at the hem. Both sleeves take a round patch, and the jacket front is embroidered with ATHOM and its katakana rendering. Grey on black throughout, so the gi reads plain from a distance and shows its detail up close.
Measurements chart
The measurements below are those of the garment, taken flat and after washing. They let you compare with a gi you already own, which remains the most reliable method.
Where the measurements are taken
Sleeve span
Cuff to cuff, jacket laid flat, sleeves extended.
Jacket length
From the base of the collar to the bottom hem, down the centre of the back.
Chest width
Armpit to armpit, jacket laid flat. This is the measurement that determines room across the shoulders.
Pant length
From the top of the waistband to the leg opening, along the outer seam.
Waist width
Width of the waistband laid flat. The drawstring allows adjustment either way.

The long cuts, A1L and A2L
They keep a width close to the standard size and lengthen the jacket, the sleeves and the pants. They are made for lean builds, at a comparable weight.
For example: at 178 cm and 72 kg, the A1L gives 2 cm more jacket and 2.5 cm more pant length than an A1, without widening the chest.
Between two sizes
Take the smaller one if you are stocky, the larger one if you are lean. If your weight exceeds the range for your height, go for the larger size: room across the shoulders matters more than length.
Still unsure? Send us your height and your weight, we reply the same day.
Garment measurements taken flat, after washing, with a tolerance of plus or minus 2 cm. The cotton is pre-shrunk, slight shrinkage may appear over the first few washes. Wash at 30 degrees, never tumble dry.
THE STORY BEHIND THIS MODEL
Inspired by the world of Crows Zero, this gi borrows the raw attitude of the Suzuran fighters: rivalry, respect and dominance.
A dark, aggressive design for anyone who wants their presence felt the moment they step onto the mat.
Because here, status is not asked for: it is earned.
