In the early twentieth century, Japanese migrated to Brazil to establish Japanese concessions. In recognition of the dedication of some Brazilians (including the Gracie Family), the Japanese chose to introduce and train them in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica;\">The Brazilians later modified it to suit their body shape until it became the form we know today: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica;\">With this belt, we have chosen to pay tribute to the history of our martial art with this embroidery in Japanese lettering.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Helvetica;\">t should be noted that at the beginning of the twentieth century, there were only two belts available: the white and the blue.
