The BJJ belt BeOne : more than a belt
In combat sports, martial arts and MMA, some aspects are key to success, such as a strength, speed and explosiveness.
However, to become a higlhy-respected athlete, you need to respect your opponents, your instructors and your training partners. It has nothing to do with chance or luck.
One can see the progress made by an athlete thanks to the colour of the BJJ belt that he/she ties and wears proudly everyday around his/her gi while rolling and drilling on the mat all over the world.
Every grade-passing results in the practitioner being awarded a new belt of different colour. Athletes who achieve a higher rank and are awarded a new belt feel intense joy, for it requires hard word and dedication to get there.
You’ll need at least 10 years of practice to obtain your BJJ black belt, as per the BJJ ranking system regulated by the IBJJF.
To be part of the 1 % who reach black belt level, you’ll have to do what 99% of people don’t want to do.
This is the meaning of our new belt, “BeOne”.
